 Revel in the joy and simplicity of balloons~ Today is the last day of 1st semester. What fun it was, there were plenty of good memories. Some more memorable than most. I'll miss you guys when you leave me in Victoria. It's so unfair that BOTH of you have to go during the same hols. But oh well.. Life's like that I guess.. Next week everyone has work experience... except me.. have it the week after instead. Because of this, a lot of potential shopping trips with friends are destroyed.. NOooo.. And cause both of you are ditching me in the hols, I'll have no one to shop with.. All your fault la you guys.. You have to repay me by going shopping a lot the next term.== You owe me!! XD Anyway.. just going through the stuff I'll remember from this semester.

Ragged blanket

 Like stars, our memories are hidden from us, but on a clear night, vividly visible like it was just yesterday. I keep trying to hold on to that part of me that longs for the days when I was carefree and all I cared about were my friends, exams also, but i didn't have to worry about anything else. When any scruples would be forgotten or discarded as unimportant. When a simple walk to the uni shop would bring excitement. When a short walk across along the classes would cause embarassment and blushing. When managing to run to your friend's desk without being caught by the teacher was considered an accomplishment. When we would run away from the class monitor just to escape sweeping. XP When we would go to the toilet after almost lesson just to get out of the class When naviety and innocence dominated our minds. ... when any random infatuations would just come and pass. The infatuations where we would laugh and blush like crazy everytime he walked past, when one of us would spend long hours talking about him and we would be hmm.. yea.. i see.. and we would be thinking 'crazy infatuated girl', and wonder if we were like that when we were crushing. Where we would frequently tease each other, and listen patiently (sometimes) while one of us rambled on and on, and asked a hundred questions about him. I still remember most of our lists, maybe not in exact order, but I do remember. Our crazy obsessions with bands and artists a bit later, but still noted here nonetheless :P Fahrenheit, Quincy, beloved FT Island (its FIVE not four!!).. haha.. and also of course The Fray.. XD I remember many a time where we would tell each other random facts of our favourite artists just because we liked them. haha.. From Lindt chocs being Quincy's favourite (I didn't even know this brand even existed back then) to Arron thinking washing machines were cool...(?) I shall forever treasure our friendship, no matter how ragged it is now. As Fall Out Boy's song goes, Thanks for the memories. I cherish every moment spent, and all our memories together. Thanks for the quilted blanket we have formed through our friendship. Patches have been torn out, some even wrenched out, leaving the blanket ragged and unideal, but I'm just grateful it was even made in the first place. Labels: friendship, infatuation, memories |
